Images of Hatred

Many churches (Christians and Non-Christians) do not accept the lifestyle of homosexuals resulting to gays departing from their churches.  The divide between the two (sinner and saint, i suppose) becomes a hindrance in reaching out to each other.  Images like this (below) provokes more anger - gays against the church, church against gays.

The image portrays church violence agains gays which will make you hate the church more.  The church on the other hand will object misinterpretation of their actions.

If the church considers the homosexuals as lost souls and Jesus came to save the lost, don't the church should have loved gays and not despise them?
