  1. The Visayas and Mindanao should separate from the rest of the Philippines. These regions don't get the attention or benefit from the government. Visayas and Mindanao should either be independent new country or be part of Malaysia. Everything is centered in Luzon anyway. All the industries, infrastructures and developments are in Luzon. Visayas and Mindanao get the scraps.

  2. Malaysia also has its own weak regions and wouldn't guarantee that they will be giving more attention to Visayas and Mindanao if these group of islands be part of it.

  4. I agree with the first commenter. The Visayas and Mindanao are just being used by central Luzon for collecting taxes and providing nothing in return in terms of development. I don't understand why they pack everything in central Luzon anyway. That region is now packed like sardines, complete with slums, traffic, filth and air pollution. Visayas and Mindanao should break away from Manila.

  5. Cebu and the Visayas are better off independent from the rest of the Philippines. The Visayan Republic can stand with Cebu City as the new national capital. Sad to say, the name Philippines has a negative image everywhere in the world but Cebu and the Visayas still have some good things left. What income is generated in the Visayas should stay in the Visayas to maintain her progress. Visayans should be first class citizens within a new Visayan Republic.

  6. I think the information should be revised to include the new cities in the Visayas such as Carcar, Cebu and Baybay, Leyte, and others.

  8. You want to separate Visayas and Mindanao from Luzon? And what is your reason? "These regions don't get the ATTENTION or benefit from the government." I get the benefit part you know.. but the attention thingy? Do you think that is a good reason?

One of the reasons why Philipines doesn't improve :|
-People say many things but aren't doing anything.
