HOW DID THEY MAKE ZOMBIES IN WORLD WAR Z?

Brad Pitt's World War Z is one of the better zombie movies i watched but i have never really bothered how did they make zombies in the movie.  It is just make-up but making one look like a zombie is painstakingly a long process.
