QUEZON CITY TO CREATE A PRIDE COUNCIL THAT WOULD SPEARHEAD EDUCATION CAMPAIGNS ON GAY CONCERNS

Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista signed an order for the creation of a Pride Council that would spearhead education campaigns on gay issues and concerns.  The said council will be the one to oversee the integration of all programs and projects for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender community.  It will also conduct training and livelihood programs for the gay community in coordination with various local and national government agencies.

Quezon City becomes the first local government unit in the Philippines to create an agency for lesbians, gays, bisexuals, and transgenders.
